Basketball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Omarion Coverson and Nas Jones Lead West Laurens to Victory

After losing to Dublin the last time they met, West Laurens decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The West Laurens Raiders walked away with a 72-59 victory over the Dublin Fighting Irish on Saturday. The win was all the more spectacular given the Raiders' disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 203rd, while the Fighting Irish are ranked 82nd).

Leading West Laurens to victory were Nas Jones and Omarion Coverson. Jones went 7 for 10 on his way to 22 points, while Coverson went 5 of 9 on his way to 16 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Dorian Watkins, who posted ten points.
