Seymour lost to Northview Academy back in October of 2024, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Thursday. The Eagles came out on top against the Cougars by a score of 3-1. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Eagles.

The win didn't come easy: Northview Academy scored at least 21 points in every set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 22-25, 25-21, 25-21.

Despite the defeat, Northview Academy saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Kylie Schultz had 13 digs and two assists. Those 13 digs set a new season-high mark for Schultz. Sydney Cole also deserves some recognition as she had her first kill of the season.

Seymour's victory bumped their record up to 6-7. As for Northview Academy, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 7-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Seymour will take on Cocke County at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Northview Academy, they will square off against Morristown-Hamblen West at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
