Volleyball Game Preview: Harbor Teacher Monarchs vs. Locke Saints

After both having extra time off, the Harbor Teacher Monarchs and the Locke Saints will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 2:00 p.m. on Monday.

Harbor Teacher is headed into the match having just suffered their biggest defeat since May 3, 2024 last Wednesday. They lost 3-0 to Dorsey.

While Harbor Teacher ultimately came up short, they really made Dorsey work, particularly in the first set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 27-25, 25-19, 25-13.

Meanwhile, Locke had just enough and edged out Crenshaw 3-2 last Wednesday. The win continues a trend for the Saints in their matchups with the Cougars: they've now won six in a row.

Locke wouldn't go down easily and took Crenshaw into a fifth set where they got it done with a four-point win. The match finished with set scores of 25-6, 25-9, 22-25, 23-25, 15-11.

Harbor Teacher's loss ended a six-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 13-2. As for Locke, the victory was their first at home , bumping their record up to 3-4.

Harbor Teacher took their win against Locke in their previous matchup back in March by a conclusive 3-0 score. Do the Monarchs have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Saints turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
