Softball Recap: Valley Heights Starts Season with Loss on the Road

Valley Heights had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They lost 15-3 to the Marysville Bulldogs on Friday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Mustangs have suffered since April 15, 2024.

Krista Porter was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-3. The team also got some help courtesy of Tessa Bigham, who scored a run while going 2-for-2.

With the victory, Marysville broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 4-3.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Bulldogs beat Valley Heights by a score of 12-2 later that day.
