Softball Game Preview: Lodi Blue Devils vs. Lakeside Lutheran Warriors

The Lodi Blue Devils will venture away from home to face off against the Lakeside Lutheran Warriors at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The last three games Lodi has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

Lodi will bounce into Tuesday's game after beating Marshall, who they had gone 1-6 against in their seven prior meetings. The Blue Devils' pitchers stepped up to hand the Cardinals a 1-0 shutout on Monday. That's two games straight that the Blue Devils have won by just one run.

Meanwhile, Lakeside Lutheran had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 10.5 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Monday. They were the clear victors by a 17-2 margin over the Vanguards. That's two games straight that the Warriors have won by exactly 15 runs.

Lakeside Lutheran's victory bumped their record up to 13-3. As for Lodi, their win bumped their record up to 12-6.

Lodi came up short against Lakeside Lutheran in their previous matchup back in April, falling 5-0. Can the Blue Devils avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
