Recap: Payson Lions vs. Timpanogos Timberwolves

The Payson Lions were handed a three-point loss in their last matchup, but they sure didn't let that happen against the Timpanogos Timberwolves on Tuesday. Payson blew past Timpanogos 71-51. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win Payson has posted yet this season.

Payson got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Kamika Wesley out in front who scored 14 points along with eight rebounds and three steals. Cooper Swasey was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with seven assists and two steals.

Payson's win ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 4-9. As for Timpanogos, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 11-5 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Payson will take on Mountain View at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Mountain View is looking to tack on another W to their three-game streak on the road. As for Timpanogos, they will be playing at home against Uintah at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Uintah focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 15 on Tuesday.
