Basketball Recap: Munster Piles Up the Points Against Lowell

After losing to Lowell the last time they met, Munster decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Munster Mustangs simply couldn't be stopped on Saturday as they easily beat the Lowell Red Devils 61-34.

Several Red Devils players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Ryan Grskovich, who posted eight points and three steals. Lowell is 2-1 when Grskovich posts three or more steals, but 8-9 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Brody Carter, who had ten points.

Munster has been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine games, which provided a nice bump to their 12-7 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.6 points over those games. As for Lowell, they dropped their record down to 10-10 with the loss, which was their third straight on the road.

Looking ahead, Munster will face off against 21st Century Charter at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. 21st Century Charter is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 66.5 points per game this season. As for Lowell, they will challenge River Forest at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
