Basketball Recap: Cushing Takes a Loss

Cushing was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 19th straight loss dating back to last season. They took a blow against the Kiefer Trojans, falling 62-29. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Tigers of the 57-40 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in February of 2024.

Cushing's loss dropped their record down to 0-9. As for Kiefer, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 6-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Cushing will square off against Bristow at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Kiefer, they will challenge Berryhill at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Kiefer's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last three games.
