With a playoff win on the line, Ider rose to the challenge on Saturday. They put the hurt on the Skyline Vikings with a sharp 11-1 win. The Hornets might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 20 games by six runs or more this season.

The victory (which was Ider's fourth in a row) raised their record to 33-14-2. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.0 runs over those games. As for Skyline, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost 23 of their last 27 matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 11-31 record this season.

Ider does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Skyline, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 17-8 victory against Valley Head on the 26th.
