Baseball Recap: Red Rock Comes Up Short

Red Rock was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They lost 20-2 to the Camp Verde Cowboys. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Scorpions of the 19-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in February of 2022.

Red Rock saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Nicholas McAtee, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one RBI.

Red Rock's record is now 0-7-1. As for Camp Verde, their victory ended a nine-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 4-9.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Red Rock will challenge rival Madison Highland Prep at 3:45 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Camp Verde is set to square off against their familiar foe Scottsdale Christian Academy at 3:45 p.m. on Thursday.
