Volleyball Recap: Gilbert Classical Academy Picks Up Sixth Straight Win at Home

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Seton Catholic, Gilbert Classical Academy was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They put the hurt on the San Tan Charter Roadrunners with a sharp 3-0 victory.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Gilbert Classical Academy was: they took every set by at least 11 points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-12, 25-14, 25-9.

Gilbert Classical Academy got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was John Vu out in front who had seven digs and four aces. Ethan Cork was another key player, getting five digs and three aces.

Vu wasn't the only good server: Gilbert Classical Academy was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 18 aces. The Spartans are a perfect 10-0 when they serve at least ten aces.

Gilbert Classical Academy pushed their record up to 10-3 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season. As for San Tan Charter, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-4.
