Basketball Recap: Friona Comes Up Short

Friona saw some tournament action on Thursday. They had to suffer through an 87-36 loss at the hands of the New Deal Lions. The Chieftans have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Friona's loss dropped their record down to 2-2. As for New Deal, the victory also got them back to even at 2-2.

Looking ahead, Friona will square off against Roosevelt at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for New Deal, they will take on West Texas T at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Lions will be up against the Tornadoes' rather soft defense (which has allowed 75.25 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
