Baseball Recap: Cleveland Central Catholic Snaps Three-Game Streak of Losses on the Road

Cleveland Central Catholic's game on Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Wednesday. They walked away with a 12-7 win over the Glenville Tarblooders. Considering the Ironmen's hitters had been struggling lately, the high-scoring outing was a much-needed turnaround.

Brandyn Love was excellent, getting on base in all three of his plate appearances with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI. He is becoming a predictor of Cleveland Central Catholic's success: when he posts at least two stolen bases the team is 2-1 (and 1-7 when he doesn't). Emmanuel Heard also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.

Cleveland Central Catholic's victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 3-8. As for Glenville, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-7.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Cleveland Central Catholic will challenge Brooklyn at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Glenville, they will take on Max S. Hayes at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Lakers have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 7.67 runs per game on average), something the Tarblooders will no doubt try to take advantage of.
