Softball Recap: Orange Panthers vs. Triton Hawks
It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Orange had no problem doing just that on Tuesday. They blew past the Triton Hawks 15-7. The Panthers not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since March 21st (when they won 10-0).
Lexi Bowes tossed a big game, tossing five innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off six hits.
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Katie Carden, who went 2-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and one triple. The team also got some help courtesy of Sadie Cecil, who went 2-for-5 with two runs, two doubles, and two RBI.
Orange was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .389. They are 6-1 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

Orange's victory ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 11-9. As for Triton, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 15-7.
Looking ahead, Orange will challenge Southern Nash on Friday. The Firebirds will roll in looking for their 23rd straight win, something the Panthers surely won't give up without a fight. Triton does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
