            Softball Recap: Kinder Yellowjackets vs. Barbe Buccaneers        
        
		
        
        
            Kinder entered their tilt with Barbe on Monday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They came within a single  run of losing the streak, but they secured  a   5-4 W against the Buccaneers. That's more bragging rights for the Yellowjackets, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.
 Brianna Fontenot spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered four earned runs on six hits and racked up seven Ks. She has been consistent : she hasn't  given up  more than one  walk in five consecutive appearances.
 On the hitting side, Kinder let  Sophie LeBoeuf and  Aubrey May run wild. LeBoeuf  scored a  run and  stole two bases while going 2-for-4, while  May  scored a  run while going 1-for-3. Those  two  stolen bases gave  LeBoeuf a new career-high.

Kinder's victory was  their eighth straight on the road, which  pushed their record up to 15-2. The  wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.6 runs on average over those games. As for Barbe,  they are  on  a  four-game losing streak  that has dropped them down to 12-10.
 Coincidentally, Kinder and Barbe will both be playing Sulphur the next time they take the field. Barbe will head out to face Sulphur at 5:00  p.m.  on Tuesday, while Kinder will head out to face them  at 4:30  p.m.  on Thursday.
