Soccer Game Preview: Union Grove vs. Jasper County

The Union Grove Wolverines will face off against the Jasper County Hurricanes at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Considering both teams were shutout in their prior games, the pair is probably coming into this one with something to prove.

Union Grove is probably headed into the match with a chip on their shoulder considering Mary Persons just ended the team's three-game winning streak last Friday. They came up short against the Bulldogs, falling 3-0.

Meanwhile, Friday just wasn't the day for Jasper County's offense. They lost 4-0 to Upson-Lee on Friday.

Union Grove's loss dropped their record down to 7-7. As for Jasper County, they dropped their record down to 7-8 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road.

Union Grove was able to grind out a solid victory over Jasper County in their previous matchup back in April of 2024, winning 4-2. Will the Wolverines repeat their success, or do the Hurricanes have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
