Soccer Recap: Fairfield Central Takes a Loss

Fairfield Central was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss. They lost 4-0 to the Clinton Red Devils. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against Clinton this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 13-1 last Tuesday.

Fairfield Central's defeat dropped their record down to 0-9. As for Clinton, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-10-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Fairfield Central will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Mid-Carolina at 7:00 p.m. on the 22nd. Clinton will also get a bit of a break before their next matchup: they'll face off against Eau Claire at 7:00 p.m. on the 22nd. Eau Claire will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something Clinton surely won't give up without a fight.
