Volleyball Recap: Pierce's Win on Thursday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Pierce extended their winning streak to three on Thursday, bumping them up to 18-6. Everything went their way against the O'Neill Eagles as they made off with a 3-0 win. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Bluejays also won the last time the pair played back in October of 2024.

Nora Herian paced Pierce's offense, picking up 21 kills. Herian got some help from Adrienne Riggert and her 38 assists. Herian was also solid from the service line: she led the team with two aces.

As for O'Neill, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost nine of their last 12 contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 11-11 record this season. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss they have suffered since September 23rd.

Despite the loss, O'Neill still got an impressive performance from Serena Chavez, who had nine digs and two assists.

Looking ahead, Pierce will head out on the road to face off against Guardian Angels Central Catholic at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for O'Neill, they will be taking part in a tournament against Douglas County West at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
