Basketball Recap: Staunton River Falls Short of Lord Botetourt in the Playoffs

Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Staunton River couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They took a 45-39 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Lord Botetourt Cavaliers. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Cavaliers this season, with their most recent defeat being a 52-34 loss back in February.

Staunton River's defeat dropped their record down to 22-4. As for Lord Botetourt, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 23-3 record this season.

As of now, neither Staunton River nor Lord Botetourt have any future games scheduled.
