Basketball Recap: Crystal River Now 4-1 over Last Five Games

If Hudson wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Crystal River, they should've done a better job of containing Jordan Dumal. The Crystal River Pirates came out on top against the Hudson Cobras by a score of 51-42 on Thursday thanks in part to Dumal, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 11 rebounds. That's the most rebounds he has posted since back in December of 2023.

The team also got some help courtesy of Ej Jenkins, who posted eight points. He is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last four games he's played.

Crystal River has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a massive bump to their 8-6 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.2 points per game. As for Hudson, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost ten of their last 11 games, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-14 record this season.

Crystal River wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, an 84-57 victory against Weeki Wachee on the 10th. As for Hudson, they will head out on the road to square off against Anclote at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
