Baseball Recap: Palm Beach Gardens Comes Up Short

Palm Beach Gardens was the 6-3 winner over Jensen Beach when they last played one another back in March of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Palm Beach Gardens Gators fell just short of the Jensen Beach Falcons by a score of 6-5 on Friday.

Palm Beach Gardens saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ian Vertucci, who scored two runs while going 3-for-4. Palm Beach Gardens is 2-1 when Vertucci posts two or more runs, but 1-2 otherwise. Mason Ryder also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Palm Beach Gardens' defeat dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Jensen Beach, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-2.

As for Jensen Beach, they will venture away from home to challenge Jupiter at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Jensen Beach's pitching crew has only allowed 2.8 runs per game this season, so Jupiter's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
