Baseball Recap: Corinth Christian Academy Wins Going Away Against Northside Christian Academy

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Georgia Christian, Corinth Christian Academy was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They blew past Northside Christian Academy 13-1.

Corinth Christian Academy let Jace Campbell and Aiden Weatherington run wild. Campbell scored three runs and stole five bases while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances, while Weatherington scored two runs and stole three bases while going 2-for-2. Those two hits gave Weatherington a new career-high. Josiah Griffin was another key player, scoring a run and stealing two bases while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances.

Corinth Christian Academy always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .686. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

The victory got Corinth Christian Academy back to even at 2-2.

Coincidentally, Corinth Christian Academy and Northside Christian Academy will both be playing First Christian the next time they take the field. Northside Christian Academy will head out to face First Christian at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while Corinth Christian Academy will host them at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
