Soccer Game Preview: Crosby vs. West Fork

The Crosby Cougars will venture away from home to face off against the West Fork Gators at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.

As a matter of fact, Crosby put up the most goals they have all season on Wednesday. Their defense stepped up to hand Pasadena a 9-0 shutout. Given Crosby's advantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 264th, while Pasadena are ranked 750th) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, West Fork made easy work of Pasadena on Friday and carried off a 9-0 victory. That looming 9-0 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for West Fork yet this season.

Crosby has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-6 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 23 goals over those four matches. As for West Fork, their victory bumped their record up to 7-10-1.

Everything went Crosby's way against West Fork in their previous meeting back in March of 2025, as Crosby made off with a 4-0 win. Will the Cougars repeat their success, or do the Gators have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
