Football Game Preview: Dr. Phillips Panthers vs. Edgewater Eagles + How To Watch

The Dr. Phillips Panthers will head out to face off against the Edgewater Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams are coming into the game red-hot, with Dr. Phillips sitting on six straight wins and Edgewater on eight.

Dr. Phillips is headed into the contest after thoroughly thrashing East Ridge: they outscored them in every quarter. The Panthers' defense stepped up to hand the Knights a 42-0 shutout on Friday. 42 seems to be a good number for the Panthers as the squad scooped up a victory with the same number of points in their previous game.

Meanwhile, a well-balanced attack led Edgewater over Winter Springs in every quarter on their way to victory on Friday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that the Eagles blew the Bears out of the water with a 47-0 final score. The result was nothing new for the Eagles, who have now won six matchups by 35 points or more so far this season.

Dr. Phillips better keep an eye on Damian Moore. He was instrumental in Edgewater's win, rushing for 181 yards and three TDs while picking up 10.6 yards per carry, and also picking up 33 receiving yards. With that strong performance, Moore is now averaging an impressive 101.9 rushing yards per game. Another player making a difference was Carter Emanuel, who threw for 283 yards and one touchdown.

Edgewater was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 242 rushing yards. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Winter Springs only rushed for 16.

Dr. Phillips' record now sits at 6-1. As for Edgewater, their record is now 8-0.

Dr. Phillips took a serious blow against Edgewater in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, falling 45-18. Can the Panthers avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
