Volleyball Preview: Eureka Wildcats vs. Incarnate Word Academy Red Knights
The Eureka Wildcats are on the road again on Tuesday to play the Incarnate Word Academy Red Knights at 6:30 p.m. Eureka will be strutting in after a win while Incarnate Word Academy will be coming in after a loss.
Last Wednesday, Eureka earned a 2-0 victory over Nerinx Hall.
Eureka never let Nerinx Hall on the board, but things got pretty close in the second set. The match finished with set scores of 25-10, 25-22.
Harper Highfill was the offensive standout of the game as she had 12 digs.
Meanwhile, Incarnate Word Academy is ranked highly in their home state and on Thursday they took on another highly ranked team in the form of Mater Dei. Incarnate Word Academy fell 3-1 to Mater Dei. The Red Knights haven't had much luck with the Knights recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 23-25, 25-13, 25-17.
The win got Eureka back to even at 10-10. As for Incarnate Word Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 14-7.
