Baseball Game Preview: Bozeman Bucks vs. Santa Fe Catholic Hawks

The Bozeman Bucks will head out to square off against the Santa Fe Catholic Hawks at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Bozeman will be looking to extend their current ten-game winning streak.

Bozeman is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They put the hurt on Blountstown with a sharp 15-5 win on Thursday. The result was nothing new for the Bucks, who have now won ten contests by seven runs or more so far this season.

Zac Flitcraft was incredible, going 3-for-4 with four stolen bases, four RBI, and two runs. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in February. The team also got some help courtesy of Blake Waites, who scored two runs while going 2-for-2.

Meanwhile, Santa Fe Catholic is ranked highly in their home state and on Friday they took on another highly ranked team in the form of Owasso. Santa Fe Catholic fell just short of Owasso by a score of 3-1. The Hawks' defeat signaled the end of their undefeated season.

Santa Fe Catholic saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Marvin Montenegro, who went 2-for-3 with one RBI.

Bozeman's victory was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-1. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.8 runs on average over those games. As for Santa Fe Catholic, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 11-1.
