Basketball Recap: Lewisville Takes a Loss

Lewisville won a close one the last time they played, but unfortunately they suffered a serious change of fortune on Friday. They were dealt a 79-17 loss at the hands of the Evans Knights. While losing is never fun, the Lions can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 214th in South Carolina, while the Knights are ranked 57th in Georgia).

Evans' win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Chabria Tate, who almost dropped a double-double on 14 points and nine boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Harmony Skinner, who posted six points along with nine boards and seven assists.

Lewisville's defeat dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Evans, the victory (which was their 11th in a row) raised their record to 13-1.

Lewisville didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 62-38 loss against Darlington on the 28th. As for Evans, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 68-34 defeat against South Pointe on the 28th.
