Soccer Recap: Lakewood Takes a Loss

Lakewood was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They came up short against the Crestwood Knights, falling 9-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against Crestwood this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 6-0 on April 1st.

Lakewood's loss dropped their record down to 3-10. As for Crestwood, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-7.

Coming up, Lakewood will challenge Hartsville at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Lakewood's defense better be ready for this one: Hartsville have averaged an impressive 5.8 goals per game this season. As for Crestwood, they wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and have already played their next match, a 3-0 defeat against Brookland-Cayce on the 28th.
