Basketball Recap: Truckee Skates Past Loyalton with Ease

A well-balanced attack led Truckee over Loyalton in every quarter on their way to victory on Saturday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that the Wolverines blew the Grizzlies out of the water with a 65-25 final score. With the Wolverines ahead 40-12 at the half, the matchup was all but over already.

Vincent Long was the offensive standout of the game as he posted 23 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Tristan Winter, who earned nine points.

Truckee's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-5. As for Loyalton, they are on a ten-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-7.

Truckee has already played their next contest, a 45-37 victory against Quincy on the 13th. As for Loyalton, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 60-54 win against Paradise Adventist Academy on the 15th.
