Baseball Recap: West Branch Comes Up Short

After flying high against Moshannon Valley last Monday, West Branch came back down to earth. The Warriors lost 10-0 to the Mount Union Trojans on Wednesday. The Warriors were not able to make up for their loss to the Trojans from their previous meeting back in May of 2024.

West Branch's defeat dropped their record down to 4-3. As for Mount Union, the win (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 9-2.

Looking ahead, West Branch will face off against Bucktail at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Mount Union, they will square off against Huntingdon at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Trojans' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Bearcats have averaged an impressive 6.1 runs per game this season.
