Basketball Recap: Raytown South Takes a Loss

Raytown South lost against Kearney last Thursday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Raytown South Cardinals fell 53-44 to the Kearney Bulldogs. While losing is never fun, the Cardinals can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked 238th, while the Bulldogs are ranked 84th).

Raytown South has also been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matches, which has put a noticeable dent in their 7-15 record this season. As for Kearney, they are on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 14 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 14-6 record this season.

While Raytown South had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
