With a playoff win on the line, Altamont rose to the challenge on Wednesday. They walked away with a 5-0 win over the Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City Bobcats. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 10-0 back in April.

Altamont is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-9 record this season. As for Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-14.

Looking ahead, Altamont will head out on the road to square off against Windsor/Stewardson-Strasburg at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Indians 1.2, Windsor/Stewardson-Strasburg 1.6) so any runs scored will be well earned. Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
