Football Recap: Greenfield Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Greenfield lost against South Fulton back in October of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Yellowjackets were just a hair shy of victory and fell 21-20 to the Red Devils. While the Yellowjackets had to settle for second, they closed the game well in the third quarter, where they outscored the Red Devils 14-8.

Greenfield's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Easton Sullivan, who threw for 110 yards and a pair of touchdowns, and also rushed for 72 yards. Jerrick McMullen also deserves some recognition as he rushed for his first rushing yards of the season.

Among those leading the charge was Josh McKnight, who rushed for 82 yards and one score.

This is the second loss in a row for Greenfield and nudges their season record down to 1-3. As for South Fulton, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 3-0.

Looking ahead, Greenfield will host Fulton County at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Yellowjackets will be up against the Pilots' rather soft defense (which has allowed 40.5 points per match), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for South Fulton, they are taking a road trip to face off against Perry County at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
