Football Recap: Estero Picks Up Third Consecutive Victory + How To Watch

It was a proper cat-fight when Estero challenged Barron Collier on Friday. The Wildcats put the hurt on the Cougars with a sharp 29-7 win. The result was nothing new for the Wildcats, who have now won three matchups by 22 points or more so far this season.

Estero's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Maddox Stewart led the charge by throwing for 282 yards and four touchdowns. Stewart has been hot recently, having posted three or more passing touchdowns the last three times he's played. 125 of Stewart's passing yards were hauled in by Kegan Kreuscher, who also brought in two receiving touchdowns.

On the other side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Estero's defense and their four sacks. Michael Lau was especially locked on to Barron Collier's QB and sacked him twice.

The victory was the third in a row for Estero, bringing their record up to 3-1. Those wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 44.7 points over those games. As for Barron Collier, they are on a five-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-4.

Coming up, Estero will face off against Cape Coral at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The Wildcats will need to watch out since the Seahawks have now posted at least 31 points every time they've taken the field this season. As for Barron Collier, they will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Lely at 7:30 p.m. on the 26th.
