Softball Recap: Bethlehem Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Bethlehem can now relate to. They lost 16-1 to the Holmes County Blue Devils on Tuesday. The Wildcats have struggled against the Blue Devils recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost meeting.

Bethlehem's defeat dropped their record down to 5-11. As for Holmes County, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last ten matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-8 record this season.

Bethlehem does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Holmes County, they will square off against Chipley at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Blue Devils' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Tigers have averaged an impressive 10.8 runs per game this season.
