Baseball Recap: La Salle Lancers vs. Elder Panthers
After losing to Elder the last time they met, La Salle decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Lancers came out on top in a nail-biter against the Panthers on Wednesday, sneaking past 4-2.

Alex Smith looked comfortable as he tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. What's more, he posted two strikeouts, the most he's had since back in April of 2024.

La Salle's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Elder, their defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 1-2.
Looking ahead, La Salle will head out to take on Trinity at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Elder, they will challenge Findlay at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
