Basketball Recap: Sutherland Sailors vs. Paxton Tigers
Sutherland was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 11th straight loss. They had to suffer through a 70-28 loss at the hands of the Paxton Tigers. The Sailors lost against the Tigers in their previous head to head back in February of 2024, too, but the margin this time around was even wider than the 44-33 score last time.

Despite the defeat, Sutherland had strong showings from Zayn Green, who posted eight points and five rebounds, and Tristan Maxcy, who put up four points and five boards. The dominant performance gave Green a new career-high in points.
Leading Paxton to victory were Jasper Brewster and Tanner Hebblethwaite. Brewster went 9-for-14 on his way to 20 points, while Hebblethwaite went 5-for-7 to rack up 12 points and five steals.
