Baseball Game Preview: Rochester Zebras vs. Carroll Cougars

The Rochester Zebras will take on the Carroll Cougars at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Rochester is coming into the contest hot, having won their last four games.

Rochester's pitching crew heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Wednesday. They skirted past Manchester 2-0.

Manchester's batters probably weren't too happy with Carson Paulik, who pitched a no hitter and racked up ten Ks (he gave up two walks). Paulik has been consistent recently: he hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in four consecutive appearances.

Meanwhile, Carroll came up short against Clinton Prairie on Wednesday and fell 9-6.

Carroll's defeat dropped their record down to 3-10. As for Rochester, their win bumped their record up to 12-1.

The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Friday as neither team is afraid to steal. Rochester has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 5.7 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Carroll struggles in that department as they've been averaging 2.8 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
