Softball Recap: Chartiers Valley Comes Up Short

Chartiers Valley couldn't beat West Allegheny on Monday even though they stacked four runs on them in the third inning. The Colts lost 18-7 to the Indians. The loss continues a trend for the Colts in their meetings with the Indians: they've now lost three in a row.

Sadie Shamonsky made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went a perfect 4-for-4 with one run and one RBI. Ally Capozzoli also deserves some recognition as she brought in her first RBI of the season.

Chartiers Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 2-9. As for West Allegheny, their win bumped their record up to 9-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Chartiers Valley will welcome East Allegheny at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for West Allegheny, they will face off against Hopewell at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
