Basketball Recap: Ooltewah Takes Loss Despite Strong Performances from Allie Tipton and Aleigha Taylor

After flying high against Howard Tech last Tuesday, Ooltewah came back down to earth. The Ooltewah Owls fell 54-42 to the Soddy Daisy Trojans on Thursday. The defeat continues a trend for the Owls in their matchups with the Trojans: they've now lost four in a row.

Ooltewah's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Aleigha Taylor, who posted 19 points and five rebounds, and Allie Tipton, who had 16 points and four steals. The contest was Taylor's fifth in a row with at least 16 points.

Ooltewah's defeat dropped their record down to 14-14. As for Soddy Daisy, they pushed their record up to 21-7 with the victory, which was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season.

Ooltewah wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 56-36 loss against Meigs County on the 14th. Soddy Daisy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
