Volleyball Recap: Del Norte Tigers vs. Fountain Valley Danes
It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Del Norte had no problem doing just that on Saturday. Everything went their way against the Fountain Valley Danes as they made off with a 3-0 victory. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Tigers also won the last time the pair played back in October of 2022.
One reason for the win was Del Norte's just kept getting better, winning each set by more points than the last. The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 25-14, 25-11.
Hadley Leggett paced Del Norte's offense, picking up 13 kills. Leggett got some help from
Kailee Gallegos and her 32 assists.
Reese Brown controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.
Del Norte is on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 12 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 20-2 record this season. As for Fountain Valley, their loss dropped their record down to 13-6.
