Volleyball Recap: Mansfield Christian Falls Despite Big Games from Nora Cook and Mckenzie Webb

If Mansfield Christian was feeling good fresh off their 3-0 takedown of New London on Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Flames lost 3-0 to the Buckeye Central Bucks on Tuesday. The Flames haven't had much luck with the Bucks recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 25-12, 25-21.

Mansfield Christian's loss came despite strong showings from McKenzie Webb and Nora Cook. Webb had nine digs and three assists, while Cook had 11 digs.

Buckeye Central's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Mayzie Hanlon, who had 16 digs and one assist. Hanlon is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 12 or more in each of the last four games she's played. Graceyn Hook also deserves some recognition as she had her first digs of the season.

Mansfield Christian's loss dropped their record down to 12-12. As for Buckeye Central, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-5 record this season.

Mansfield Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Buckeye Central, they will challenge Van Buren at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
