            Football Recap: Lake Region Lakers vs. Yarmouth Clippers        
        
		
        
        
            If Lake Region was feeling good  fresh off their  46-26 takedown of Cape Elizabeth last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Lakers took  a  36-22 bruising from the Yarmouth Clippers on Friday. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last five times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.
 Yarmouth's win  was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from   Ignatius (Iggy) McGrath, who threw for 216 yards and three  touchdowns. (Iggy) McGrath is  crushing it when it comes to  passing touchdowns: he's   passed for at least three every time he's  taken the field this season. 94 of  (Iggy) McGrath's passing yards were hauled in by Jackson Jabar, who also brought in a  receiving touchdown.
Having lost for the first time  this season, Lake Region  fell to 3-1. As for Yarmouth, the  victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-1.
 Both  squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lake Region will challenge Mt. Ararat at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday. As for Yarmouth, they will face off against Gray-New Gloucester at 6:00  p.m.  on Friday. The Clippers will be up against the Patriots' rather soft defense (which has allowed 31  points per  game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
