Football Game Preview: Staley Falcons vs. Central Indians

Staley is a perfect 6-0 against Central since October of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Falcons will venture away from home to challenge the Indians at 7:00 p.m. Staley will be strutting in after a win while Central will be coming in after a loss.

On Friday, Staley needed a bit of extra time to put away Raymore-Peculiar. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Panthers 20-17. The win was some much needed relief for the Falcons as it spelled an end to their four-game losing streak.

Lance Holsted was his usual excellent self, rushing for 186 yards and a pair of TDs while picking up 8.5 yards per carry, and also picking up 62 receiving yards and one touchdown. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in rushing touchdowns (two).

Meanwhile, Central might've scored the first points on Friday, but it was Park Hill South who claimed the real prize. The Indians took a hard 28-14 fall against the Panthers. The game marked the Indians' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Central's defeat dropped their record down to 5-4. As for Staley, their record is now 3-6.

Everything came up roses for Staley against Central in their previous matchup back in October of 2021, as the team secured a 54-6 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Falcons since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
