Softball Recap: El Camino's Losing Streak Snapped at Six Games

El Camino's game last Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. Everything went their way against the Natomas Nighthawks as the El Camino Eagles made off with a 15-0 victory. The win was some much needed relief for the Eagles as it spelled an end to their six-game losing streak dating back to last season.

The team relied heavily on Claire Schwartz, who went 3-for-4 with one home run and five RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Sam Burgess, who scored four runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3.

El Camino always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .621. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

El Camino's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-4. As for Natomas, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-6.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. El Camino will challenge Woodland at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The game will give Woodland their first taste of in-conferenceaction this season. As for Natomas, they will take on Destiny Christian Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
