Basketball Recap: Shoemaker Takes a Loss

Shoemaker entered their game against Temple on Tuesday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Wolves took a 66-60 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Wildcats. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Wolves came into the matchup with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 164th, while the Wildcats are ranked 347th).

Shoemaker's loss dropped their record down to 18-12. As for Temple, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-15 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Shoemaker is set to face off against their familiar foe Copperas Cove at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Temple will take on rival Bryan at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
