Softball Game Preview: Clovis East Timberwolves vs. Buchanan Bears

The Clovis East Timberwolves will take on the Buchanan Bears at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Clovis East 2.1, Buchanan 3.5) so any runs scored will be well earned.

Clovis East is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Wednesday. They had just enough and edged out Bullard 2-1. Winning may never get old, but the Timberwolves sure are getting used to it with their fifth in a row.

Chloe Solis spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on seven hits and racked up nine Ks. She has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in five consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Madison Masa, who went 1-for-3 with one home run.

St. Joseph typically has all the answers at home, but on Wednesday Buchanan proved too difficult a challenge. They came out on top against the Knights by a score of 9-5.

Buchanan's victory bumped their record up to 19-10. As for Clovis East, their win bumped their record up to 21-3.
