Basketball Recap: New Bremen Comes Up Short

New Bremen suffered their closest defeat since February 16, 2024 on Friday. They fell just short of the Parkway Panthers by a score of 47-44. The Cardinals were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Panthers apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in February of 2024.

New Bremen's defeat dropped their record down to 8-6. As for Parkway, their victory was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-4 and their overall record up to 6-9.

New Bremen and Parkway could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Ohio Rankings. New Bremen (ranked 265th) will meet Botkins (ranked 127th) at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday. Meanwhile, Parkway will square off against Minster at 6:00 p.m. on Friday down 297 places (467 vs. 170).
