Volleyball Recap: Blackman Falls Short Against Ranked Upperman

Blackman faced Upperman in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Thursday. The Blaze lost 3-0 to the Bees. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Bees this season, with their most recent defeat being a 3-1 loss back in March.

The match was exciting from start to finish, as two sets needed extra rallies to gain a two-point lead. The match finished with set scores of 27-25, 25-20, 27-25.

This is the second loss in a row for Blackman and nudges their season record down to 4-9-1. As for Upperman, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 7-7-2.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Blackman will challenge rival Lebanon at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Upperman is set to square off against their familiar foe Green Hill at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
