Basketball Recap: Buckhorn's Losing Streak Snapped at Three Games

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Hazard, Buckhorn was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They walked away with a 58-46 win over the Cordia Lions. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 73-42 back in December of 2024.

With the victory, Buckhorn broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 6-12. As for Cordia, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-10.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. A feisty cat fight is on tap when the Buckhorn Wildcats face off against the Jackson City Tigers at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Cordia, they will look to defend their home court on Monday against Owsley County at 7:15 p.m.
